How do I wash my Period underwear?

THIS IS SUPER EASY!

1. RINSE: Rinse your period underwear directly by hand with cold water after changing it (e.g., under the shower or in the sink).

2. WASH: Place your period underwear in the washing machine at 30-40°C – you can even wash it with other clothes. Washing your period underwear with your other laundry is perfectly hygienic and won't soil your other clothes. However, do not use bleach or fabric softener.

Modern detergents are very effective even at 30°C, so this is perfectly safe. Washing your period panties at temperatures above 40°C will damage the absorbent part, so you should avoid doing so.

3. DRY: Hang your period underwear in a dry environment until completely dry. Gottyu period underwear should not be ironed or tumble dried.

Can I my Period underwear Should I really only wash at 30°C?

Due to the protein content in blood, it hardens at high temperatures – in your period underwear, this could clog the pores and impair absorbency and leakage protection in the long term. For this reason, we recommend washing your period underwear in the washing machine at a maximum of 30-40°C. However, since modern detergents are effective even at 20°C, this is hygienically safe.

YOU SHOULD ALSO NOT PUT THEM IN THE DRYER OR DRY THEM ON A HOT HEATER.

How do I use my Gotyu Period underwear?

BEFORE YOU USE YOUR GOTYU PERIOD UNDERWEAR FOR THE FIRST TIME, YOU SHOULD WASH IT ONCE AT 30-40°C.

PLEASE NOTE THAT FOR HYGIENIC REASONS YOU SHOULD NOT WEAR YOUR PERIODIC UNDERWEAR FOR MORE THAN 12 HOURS AT A TIME.

To wear your Gotyu period underwear for as long as possible, you should choose the right absorbency for your cycle. If you are still a little unsure which one is best suited to you and your individual needs, you can refer to the absorbency information on each product page (1 tampon corresponds to a regular tampon, i.e., absorbing approximately 5 ml of fluid). IF YOU EXPERIENCE HEAVIER BLEEDING, YOU MAY NEED TO CHANGE YOUR GOTYU MORE OFTEN IF YOUR MODEL HAS INSUFFICIENT ABSORPTION.

For hygiene reasons, you should change your gotyu after 12 hours at the latest. However, if a slight feeling of dampness develops before then, this is also a good indication that your gotyu is full and you should change it.

Do I need to use pads or tampons in addition to my Gotyu? Period underwear carry?

That depends on your personal preferences and the heaviness of your period. Gotyus period underwear can completely replace your disposable products. Of course, you can also use it as extra protection with tampons or a menstrual cup.

We know, of course, that a complete switch can seem difficult, especially at the beginning. Therefore, we recommend that you try out your Gotyu period underwear at home first. Where will the Gotyu be Period underwear manufactured?

We use local materials such as OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 (certification number 22.HCN.25639 Hohenstein and 11-60617 Shirely), which are processed locally in their original environment in our responsible and specialized workshop in Shantou, China. The workshop is certified with the ECOCERT label, which certifies environmentally friendly production as well as socially conscious practices.

The independent label ECOCERT tests on-site whether a product meets the requirements described in a standard.

In addition to certified and controlled materials, our workshop also pays attention to ethical and ecological quality standards, fair wages and ethical working conditions.

"MADE IN EUROPE" IS (UNFORTUNATELY) NOT ALWAYS A GUARANTEE OF A LOWER CO2 FOOTPRINT OR FAIR WORKING CONDITIONS. Is Period underwear Suitable for the postpartum period?

For the first 3 to 4 weeks after birth, postpartum bleeding occurs and you lose a lot of blood and fluid.

Therefore, medicated sanitary pads cannot be replaced during the first few days. However, as soon as the initial heavy bleeding subsides somewhat, you can switch to Gotyu period underwear during the postpartum period.

Can I go swimming with my Gotyu period beachwear?

LIGHT TO MEDIUM PERIOD: YES. WHEN YOU'RE IN THE WATER, THE BLOOD CAN'T LEAVE YOUR BODY DUE TO WATER PRESSURE.
