Here is a simple step-by-step guide to ensure you can take perfect measurements to find the best possible Gotyu bralette/bra.
Step 1: Find a long, flexible measuring tape
First, you'll need a long, flexible measuring tape. If you don't have one, you can use a piece of string or ribbon instead. If using string or ribbon, mark the desired length with a marker or a piece of tape, then use a ruler or a rigid measuring tape to measure the length of the string or ribbon up to that mark.
Step 2: Dress appropriately
Before taking your measurements, make sure you are wearing an unpadded underwire bra. Avoid bras with heavy padding or compression, such as sports bras, as these can lead to inaccurate measurements.
Step 3: Measure your underbust circumference
To determine your underbust measurement, place the measuring tape directly under your breasts. Make sure the tape is horizontal and snug, but not too tight or too loose. Round your measurement to the nearest whole number and write it down.
Write down this number.
Step 4: Measure your chest circumference
Next, measure around the fullest part of your bust to determine your cup size. Place the measuring tape straight across your back and round to the nearest whole number.
If your breasts have a sagging shape, position the measuring tape lower, near the nipples, to capture the entire area. If your breasts are uneven, measure from the fullest side to the middle of your back and double that number.
Write down this number.
In steps 3 and 4, make sure you don't measure too closely, as this could mess everything up..
Step 5: Find your cup size
Cup sizes vary by brand and country. To determine your size, subtract your underbust measurement from your bust measurement. Use the chart to find your correct cup size.
Step 6: See the size chart
Then use your cup size and underbust measurement to find your correct size in the size chart.
If you're between sizes, you can order one size larger for less support or one size smaller for more support. We usually recommend comparing this size to the size of your usual fitted t-shirt.
For example, if your size chart indicates you are between M and L, but you normally wear a tight-fitting top in size M, we recommend ordering size M.
